CONNECT – Complete Streets Workshop, 2017

Over 80 attendees joined CONNECT and partners to learn more about Complete Streets policies! Session topics included Complete Streets basics and benefits, policy development and funding opportunities, public engagement and education, and more. Our keynote speaker, Robert Bini, Director for Transportation Planning for Lancaster County, PA, oversees activities of the Lancaster County Metropolitan Planning Organization, and works to ensure that the County’s transportation plans, programs, and projects will meet the future needs of a growing and diverse community. 

Bini discussed how communities in Lancaster County are incorporating Complete Streets into their planning, and the effect these policies have had after implementation in their municipalities. Presenters offered resources, sample resolutions, case studies, and examples from different municipal perspectives for attendees to start looking at what Complete Streets resolutions might look like in their communities.
