Parks & Rec and Connectivity

small dirt roadParks & Rec and Connectivity

Allegheny County’s abundant parks, recreation facilities, and natural amenities enrich the quality of life for us all. For a few a few months now, Local Government Academy (LGA) has been part of discussion on the idea of greater connectivity among these treasures.  In talking with a number of colleagues and parks & rec professionals, we have learned that many communities also have connections on their minds and are incorporating that in their planning.

Please join us July 25, 2016 at 1 PM at CCAC Administration Building, 800 Allegheny Avenue, Pittsburgh 15233  for a discussion of the potential of creating stronger linkages among parks & recreation assets, and to share the activities, interests and needs of  Sewickley Borough.  LGA will be hosting this event with Allegheny County Parks Foundation to facilitate this discussion.  While no formal planning process has started, it is important to get your input at this time!  Come and exchange ideas with us and your fellow local governments.

Please let us know if you can make it by July 21, 2015 by responding here:
