The Local Government Academy is pleased to announce that $500,000 in grants have been approved since 2002 in support of multi-municipal comprehensive planning. Recipients are:

The recipients have all provided a local match for the grant and have also been successful in obtaining Land Use Planning and Technical Assistance grants from the state.

Local Government Academy is pleased to join these partnerships in support of smart-land-use planning. It is the aspiration of the Local Government Academy that these plans will stimulate development in existing places while preserving our region’s natural heritage.

LGA’s Multi-Municipal Planning Grant Program, which is supported by the Heinz Endowments, began in 2002. The program is designed to encourage local governments to take advantage of the tools provided in state law to prepare and implement good planning.
