Andrea Geraghty is a partner at Meyer, Unkovic & Scott LLP, and a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Litigation Groups. In addition, she is co-chair of the firm’s Energy and Mineral Rights Group. Her transactional practice focuses on advising clients through land acquisition, development, construction, and management of a variety of real estate endeavors. She has significant litigation experience in diverse real estate related matters such as eminent domain, property tax assessment appeals, title and boundary disputes, real estate broker’s commissions, and leasing. Andrea’s wide-ranging experience allows her to understand her clients’ business operations and goals and to identify risk, thus allowing her to effectively serve both as strategist and counselor. Her work on energy issues and right-of-way acquisition and management harkens back to her early experience with the Pennsylvania PUC.
In 2012, she chaired the Energy and Environment Vision Team for Allegheny County. Ms. Geraghty became a partner of Meyer, Unkovic & Scott, LL,P in March 2012, when the boutique real estate firm, Geraghty & Associates, merged into Meyer, Unkovic & Scott, LLP. Andrea’s diverse practice and broad spectrum of knowledge in real estate property law issues has enabled her to build a distinguished real estate practice. Since 2001, Ms. Geraghty has been selected for inclusion in Best Lawyers® in the fields of Real Estate, Litigation-Real Estate and Eminent Domain and Condemnation Law and, in 2014, was named by Best Lawyers as a Lawyer of the Year in Pittsburgh for Eminent Domain and Condemnation Law.
Andrea is member of the American, Pennsylvania and Allegheny County Bar Associations, and is a past chair of real property groups of both the Allegheny County and Pennsylvania Bar.
