Katherine F.H. Heart, GPC, M.Ed., President of Heart Resources, LLC provides grant and technical writing services to nonprofit and government agencies resulting in project plans and proposals for foundations, corporations, United Way, and local, state and federal government. She writes Concept Papers, RFP and bid documents. Katherine earned the Grant Professional Certified (GPC) credential, and was the first person selected as a GPA Approved Trainer by the Grant Professionals Association. She is a grant reviewer for the federal Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA). Katherine is President of the GPA-Western PA Chapter.
In 2015, Heart Resources, LLC produced grant applications that were awarded $5,125,628 in support of: at-risk youth education and workforce development; child and teen literacy and technology programs; public information services at a county corrections facility; historic landmark building renovations; and general operations. Katherine presented 11 grant training seminars for 200 individuals from 104 regional nonprofit agencies and 46 independent contractors. Heart Resources, LLC was a corporate sponsor of three community events: GPA-Western PA Regional Conference; The Authors Zone (TAZ) Conference; and People’s Oakland Turtle Team.
