Matthew Alan Mahoney has been assistant to the executive director of Center for Sustainable Shale Development since 2013. Among his multiple areas of responsibility is the role of engaging funders, community organizations, and other key stakeholders. Working directly with the board of directors and executive director, Matthew prepares budgets and financial reports, manages the voluntary operator certification program, and oversees all internal record-keeping procedures and processes.
Prior to joining the organization, Matthew worked in development and as a career advisor for the Veterans Leadership Program of Western Pennsylvania, Inc., where he assisted military veterans in finding jobs, housing, and other support services as they re-entered civil society. Matthew was a member of the Pennsylvania National Guard, where he served honorably. Matthew also served with AmeriCorps volunteering in the local community.
Matthew is a husband and father of two children.
