Safe Digging Technology for Underground Infrastructure – Workshop and Demonstration
Local Government Academy is pleased to announce a free workshop for municipal officials and employees to learn about the latest technology to satisfy safe-digging requirements for locating and verifying underground utilities and pipelines. Speakers will discuss ways municipalities can reduce costs and company representatives will be on hand to demonstrate vacuum excavation techniques and conduct facility tours.
Learning Outcomes
- Learn about PA One Call and stricter regulations and impacts to municipalities
- Using technology for efficiency and to prepare for reductions in work force
- New ideas to budget or share resources between municipalities
- Municipal examples of hydro-excavation of gas lines and emergency sink hole repairs
