Eagle! Birdie! Par! August is National Golf Month, which coincides with our Annual Promoting Excellence Golf Outing on August 15th. This event is not just a day of sport and camaraderie; it is a vital part of our mission to promote excellence in local government. The funds raised through this outing directly support our programs and initiatives, helping us to provide essential training, resources, and support to local government officials and public servants at no-cost to communities in need.
We want to extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our sponsors whose generous contributions make this event possible. Your support is instrumental in ensuring that our mission continues to thrive. Moreover, we want to thank our many partner municipalities, who have graciously donated gift baskets for the outing, including Mt. Lebanon, Moon Township, Brentwood Borough, the Township of Upper St. Clair, Plum Borough, Cranberry Township, Hampton Township, Monroeville, Scott Township, ALOM Public Partners, and Keystone Municipal Solutions. These communities see the value in the work that we provide, and we cannot thank them enough for their support in advancing this work for years to come!
August also marks the end of the 2024 Municipal Intern Program, culminating with our Annual Recognition Luncheon. This year featured Stephanie Edwards, a former intern and current DCED Planning Specialist, as our keynote speaker. Stay tuned next month for a larger recap of the event!
Amidst all the busyness of these events, we feel so lucky to count on the continued support and participation of our local government community. Together, we are making a tangible difference in local government, fostering excellence and regional prosperity. Thank you for being a part of this journey with us, and we can’t wait to share more success stories in the months to come!
