Welcome to the neighborhood Pat Conners, Executive Director of Quaker Valley Council of Governments!
Encompassing a vibrant commercial corridor along the Ohio River Boulevard and charming residential neighborhoods, Quaker Valley COG (QVCOG) welcomes new leadership with the hiring of Patrick Conners as their Executive Director.
As a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh’s Graduate School of Public and International Affairs (GSPIA), Patrick’s first experience in municipal government came as an intern through the Local Government Academy’s Municipal Intern Program (MIP). He was chosen by North Fayette Township to assist in designing the community’s welcome sign along its key commercial corridor, which can still be seen today!
As a former Administrative Assistant in Edgeworth Borough and the first Assistant to the Township Manager in South Strabane Township, Washington County, he brings a keen understanding of the challenges facing municipalities.
“I know the potential of the QVCOG and look forward to working with the elected officials, residents, and businesses to implement efficient and effective solutions to the evolving challenges and opportunities that entail municipal operations,” Patrick said.
With the experience of previously working in the region, he is ready to hit the ground running. Eager to elevate QVCOG to new heights, Patrick plans to explore the numerous opportunities to innovate and discover solutions to everyday challenges for the COG’s 15 municipal members.
