Please join the Local Government Academy for a dinner recognizing the newly elected officials who have completed the Newly Elected Officials Course.

Starting in November of 2017, nearly 80 individuals from numerous southwestern PA counties  completed more than 40 hours of intensive instruction in a number of areas relevant to governing at the local level, from  the nuts and bolts of budgeting, to understanding their roles and responsibilities in emergency management. By participating in the most comprehensive training course of its kind in Pennsylvania, the graduates of LGA’s Newly Elected Officials Course developed a base of knowledge that will help their terms of office be more effective than they would have been if they had engaged only in “on-the-job” training.
