The American Rescue Plan - Advice for Municipal Spending
The American Rescue Plan is the third round of Economic Impact Payments, and the first for local governments with $350 billion dollars in emergency funding for state, local, territorial, and Tribal governments to remedy rising costs and falling revenues due to COVID-19 crisis.
While the U.S. Department of the Treasury (Treasury Department), the Internal Revenue Service (IRS), and state and county agencies have provided guidance on funding requirements, many questions still exist. So, if you want to know:
- How much funding can my municipality expect?
- What are eligible costs?
- What documentation is needed to report to the Treasury the loss of revenue?
- What projects can be funded by the American Rescue Plan?
- Ask your questions and hear directly from the experts!
Watch David E. Mitchell, an attorney with Campbell Durrant, P.C., and Tim J. Morgus, a Partner with Maher Duessel as they answer your questions about the American Rescue Plan.
