Spring is here and this year that means municipal elections! If you know that, then you should know this: Local Government Academy is busy planning for the 2023-2024 Newly Elected Officials Course!

But in the meantime, the best part of year is happening now!

Spring means Spring Break for some, but not us. In fact, we are welcoming students back from their break with the Municipal Intern Fair! On March 22 we are back IN PERSON, and I am eager to meet the next cohort of Undergraduate and Graduate students who will the Municipal Intern Program, Class of 2023!

Every year, the most talented and interesting people come through the Municipal Intern Program. What I enjoy most is when their passion for making a difference in the world results in getting a job here locally affecting positive change in our communities.

Generating positive change comes with a commitment to continual learning. For those in local government, you know educational resources can be scarce, but that is where we come in to help!

For over 40 years, Local Government Academy has served as a trusted provider of fact-based, non-partisan education.

From our first class in 1984 (Newly Elected Officials Course), to now, we remain committed to Promoting Excellence in Local Government. This newsletter is full of information on new programs we are offering live and through our Virtual Academy. If you haven’t checked out this online library of digital content yet, you are in for a surprise.
