While basketball enthusiasts are gearing up for slam dunks and buzzer beaters, here at the Local Government Academy, we are in the midst of our own version of March Madness as we continue the 2023-2024 Newly Elected Officials Course and kick off the Municipal Intern Program with the annual Municipal Intern Fair.
Governance is a team sport, and effective collaboration is the key to success. As we enter the fourth quarter of the Newly Elected Officials Course, we have to take a moment to thank all our partners throughout the region including Hampton Township and South Fayette Township, who graciously hosted us in their fabulous municipal facilities.
We are indebted to our experienced subject matter experts from around the region, who donated their time to ensuring the quality and breadth of the Newly Elected Officials Course programming: The Energy Efficiency Alliance, Raymond James, Delta Development, the SWPA Municipal Project Hub, C & G Strategies, Campbell Durrant, P.C., the Government Finance Officers Association, Weiss Burkardt Kramer, LLC, Maher Duessel, Tucker Arensberg, P.C.,Mockenhaupt, Public Partners, Gateway Engineers, 3 Rivers Wet Weather, ALCOSAN, and Maiello Brungo & Maiello, LLP, just to name a few!
Stay tuned for updates, game plans, and new initiatives from the Local Government Academy throughout this exciting season. Together, we can promote excellence in local government to enhance life in our region.
