Hello friends of LGA.

It has been a busy August for LGA. Not only did we celebrate the amazing talented municipal intern class of 2019, but we also took the time to recognize our rich legacy of education.  Our heritage as a provider of education for public officials and staff is the result of visionaries and leaders who supported LGA over the years. While we have lost some of our own this year, we are strengthened by the fact that LGA continues to fulfill our mission To Promote Excellence in Local Government and we do it gladly in their honor.

As we are in the height of summer it would be nice to say that LGA is taking some time off but that is not the case! Instead, we are upgrading our technology to provide professionally-developed online educational programming specifically for local government. Our goal is to develop additional online courses to address pressing issues and to provide affordable education on fundamental municipal responsibilities. To that end, I invite you to share your ideas on program ideas that will lead to strong and responsive local government systems necessary for healthy and vibrant communities.
