ARCHIVED WEBINAR: Improve Access to Healthy Food and Create a Better Sense of Place with a Well Managed Farmers Market
Registration is Closed
FREE
Farmers markets have historically played a role in weaving together the social and economic fabric of communities. Farmers markets today still play the role of creating a sense of place and community. If the proper assets are in place a market can create activity in building local economies and leveraging assets for mainstream redevelopment projects, enhancing relationships between business, increasing access to fresh food, and making social services more visible to community members. Join the Sustainable Community Development Network and Local Government Academy for a webinar on Wednesday, July 19, 2017 at 1:00 pm as we explore examples of using Farmers Markets as a place-making tool. Heather Manzo, Penn State Extension Educator, will lead the webinar.
Heather Manzo specializes in food systems development and agriculture business development. She is a member of the Ag Entrepreneurship/Community Economic Development State Team.
