The Municipal Intern Program (MIP) is gearing up. Municipalities, Authorities, and COGs: It’s time to submit your project application for a 2020 summer intern.
First time looking into MIP? Local Governments can submit a project for consideration by the MIP Review Committee, and if selected, receive a reimbursement grant to cover a portion of the intern’s wages. LGA facilitates the match with an undergraduate or graduate student for a summer internship project with selected placement sites at our annual Municipal Intern Fair. Eligible intern projects must address key issues local governments face and provide meaningful, real world experience for the intern. Possible project topics could include:
