PAST – SCDN FORUM: Funding for Energy Efficiency and Renewable Sources (Recorded on April 3, 2018)
The Sustainable Community Development Network (SCDN) and LGA held a forum with local government officials on Tuesday, April 3 to learn how to fund renewable energy and energy efficiency projects in their community. This information and networking forum explored how to prepare public organizations for energy improvements, what factors to consider, how much money and energy could be saved, and where funding is available.
This SCDN Forum was especially valuable for those who consume significant quantities of energy, such as large municipal operators and water and/or sewer authorities.
The presentations and panel discussions brought together experts from nonprofit organizations, local and state governments, and private industry who are working to improve the planning, implementation, and funding of energy efficiency and renewable energy projects in the Commonwealth.

The Sustainable Community Development Network (SCDN) is designed, with guidance from the SCDN Steering Committee, to support your efforts to create more equitable, environmentally sound, and prosperous communities in Southwestern Pennsylvania. The SCDN is open to officials from municipalities, municipal authorities, and/or community development organizations committed to working on improving their community’s sustainability.
