Spring is here and school is still in session for Local Government Academy and the municipalities we serve. Local government doesn’t have the choice to close up shop, and neither do we. Just as our nation has seen a tremendous show of cooperation and bi-partisanship, the Academy is working collectively with our partners to provide information and services to help communities adapt in these rapidly changing times.

Municipal officials and staff are quickly learning a new way of doing business and leaning on one another to share best practices and resources. We are doing the same.

Supported by our long-standing relationships and inspired by new partners, Local Government Academy will continue doing what we have always done best: Promote Excellence in Government.

We are moving forward with capacity-building programs to address blight and encourage renewal. We are supporting larger efforts to develop resiliency across the region. And we are working to build community preparedness in concert with our partners.

We have world-renowned universities leading the scientific charge to respond to what is arguably the most serious threat that any of us have experienced.
