This is a three evening course designed for appointed members of the municipal planning commission.
Land use planning is a critical function of Pennsylvania local governments and planning commissions play a vital role in determining the course of their community’s land use, economic, development, natural and historic resources and in how their community will be shaped for future generations. Because of this importance, Local Government Academy is offering a comprehensive three-evening course, designed specifically for appointed members of the municipal planning commission.
The course will cover everything from the role of the planning commissioner to reviewing development plans along with the “big picture” for your community, to ethical implications for planning commission members. In addition to the three evening course, a number of online resources, including webinars, will be made available to participants.
Please share this program announcement with your appointed planning commission members and encourage their attendance in this important training series.
