I have lived in Oakmont for the last 14 years following retirement. I enjoyed a 40 + year career as an electrical engineer in the aerospace/defense industry. In that time, I had roles in both personnel and project management. I have experience in the planning, scheduling, and budgeting of complex projects involving many people and diverse disciplines.
I hold a BS from Tufts University, an MS from the Catholic University of America, and have taken graduate courses at University of Southern California. I am a current member of the Oakmont Borough Council, Secretary of a homeowner’s association and the Oakmont representative to the AVNCOG., I am active in environmental causes and in FairDistrictsPa (a non-partisan anti gerrymandering organization).
Before coming to Oakmont, I lived and worked in the Marshall Islands (for Lockheed-Martin).

As an international development professional, I have 30 years' experience leading large non-profit public health and conservation programs in Africa and Asia, including 22 years living and working in some of the poorest countries of the world. I served for 7 years on school boards in Zambia and Madagascar, both of which included overseeing a change of school director and significant structural changes. This included raising $4m in capital for new school facilities in Zambia and launching a successful process to build a new campus and relocate the school in Madagascar.
